Hi there,

I have just bought two silver tabby kittens, both boys, but I'm really struggling to name them! The best suggestion so far is George and Jenson after the famous silver makers, but i'm worried they sound two similar. I don't want two names sounding the same, as it will confuse the poor little mites, any ideas? Thanks

We certainly wouldn't want confused kitties... my favorite source for roses for our garden here in the States is Jackson and Perkins... always thought those would make good pet names... not to ostentatious, yet with an air of whimsy... and they do sound so British, at least to this Yank's ear...
Bodge It and Scarper?
Bootsy & Smudge    :-)
Somebody told me once that if there was an S in a cats name it got to know it better.  But my two cats Max and Peri know their names.  Bill and Ben.
Peter and David
I've JUST come up with these and, if I had kittens they'd be their names. Armitage and Shanks! I may even name future children this way!
As they are silver tabby kits, why not call one of them Hi Ho.   I suppose the other could be Kimmo Sabi.   There is also "precious" as in precious metal, Don't forget to post what you do decide to call them.
Gilbert and George

I have a silver tabby and we called him Foggy.  He was originally called Cinders because we were told it was a girl!! LOL

Foggy because of the colour and also because Carl Foggerty (motorbikes!).

Dont you have a fave film character or cartoon character.  Or something like Merc as in Mercedez (which always look gorgeous in silver) Hows about Merc and Benz!

Hi there, its me again, when I posted this morning I had another thought, but have been unable to get back to you until now.    How about Argent (another name for silver) quite posh sounding and you will be able to sound knowledgeable explaining the name.

How about Tess & Tickle!!!!

Thats what I wanted to call our cats, but my girlfriend said no, can't think why!

I posted this else where but I have only one to offer.

Cfer

how about STERLING and MARTELE , which is a type of silver sold by the GOREHAM CO> from 1899 to 1912. it was 950-to 1000 parts silver

Hi everyone,

Many thanks for all of your suggestions. In the end we waited to see how they were and what names suited them and plumped with Oscar and Jake. Very funny little chaps they are too! Thanks for all of your help.
