Hes not scratching his ears or anything.. It doesnt seem to bother him.. He recently had an antibiotic injection, could it be something to do with that? Hes eating fine, only has wet food but hes happy to much biscuit treats so i doubt its his teeth.. Ive checked his ears which he lets me do easily.. Nothing looks sore or anything, cant see wax or any other substances in his ears..

Could it be an allergy to the antibiotic jab? His infection looks to be fine now!

And if its an ear infection, will the original antibiotic jab cover that too? As i cant keep affording the £70 it cost me last time for the jab.. I just wanna make sure my baby is okay

Head shaking usually means the beginning of ear irritation of some sort, just because he isnt scratching it could deep in the ear canal perhaps. Eat mites are a common problem. Make sure he is up to date with flea treatment and get him checked over by the vet again.

Where was the original infection? DIfferent antibiotics work on different things.

Have you taken out insurance? Much better to spread the cost and know your little one will be looked after regardless of what you can afford at the time.

Could be something ear related - maybe something you can't see, even something little in his ears could irritate them though if it was very bad he would be likely to be trying to scratch and such.

Is his hearing ok?
My first thought would be ear mites which are tiny and could be deep inside. I don't think the antibiotic would kill them. Some of the spot on flea treatments like Stronghold do. I'll be interested in other answers more knowledgeable than mine.
Your baby is fine.
Nothing to do with the antibiotic jab.
Probably as Prudie intimated........mites.
Monitor the situation for the next week.
I meant ear mites - and not EAT mites lol !
Could have a build up of wax in the ears. My dog gets it a lot.
cat is NOT fine if he has ear mites and needs treatment....back to the vet I would suggest. yes insurance is an excellent idea if you don't have a ton of disposable income lying around, either that or set up a savings account for vet bills and pay into it regularly. If you do this though you have to hope that a balance has built up before you need to pay a honker of a bill.
NoM, my dog had terrible trouble with earwax (at one stage I was cleaning his ears 4+times in 24 hours!) which turned out to be food allergy. I removed pork and dairy from his diet and his ears are now fine.
That's interesting, woof. Alfie does have his allergies.

He doesn't have pork though, and only occasionally gets a yoghurt. He does have a lot of sardines, though.
You say that he doesn't get pork but what do you feed him? most dogfoods, even good ones, only say something like "meat and meat by products" My boy is now on a fish and potato dry food.
Ring the vet, furmonster, if only for some advice. You said before that he fights - he might have got a bit of something stuck deep in his ear. Don't probe it - speak to the vet.
... and PS if you don't have pet insurance, get some - it's well worth it.

I have pet insurance.. The excess is £75 each condition though! Would it harm him if i put otodex ear drops in if he doesnt have ear mites?

Had him to the vets today.. apparently he has the cleanest, most spotless ears ever!
