Are you a food label snob?

Or will you buy whatever is cheapest? If you buy cheap, what have you had that you would recommend?
I am a label snob, can't help it.

But everything else food wise I am okay with.
I'm funny about buying cheap washing powder and cosmetic products (i.e. make up, shampoo, toothpaste, etc)

Not really M&S baked beans are lovely and 50p a tin where Heinz are about 65p. I won't compromise on coffee, Kenco Columbian is over £4 now and I've still to find another cheaper one I like. I look out for cheaper teabags Lidl and Aldi have nice biscuits too. Not keen on their cereal though, like eating cardboard.
I try own brands or the stuff from Aldi - if the children like it I keep buying it, if they don't then I don't buy it anymore (they love Adli ketchup (it's too tomatoey for me), their fruit juice, some of their crisps, jam). I buy Asda own brand pop, pizza, cheese, bacon, etc. My biggest bargain is the chicken factory shop which supplies Asda, Morrisons and the Co-op - I save a fortune there.
