Hi!

I've had my terrier X for nearly 5 years now..She is a loving pet but is a terrible car traveller.  I've tried everything but she just jumps about 'screaming'.  I've tried putting a guard up in the boot so she is contained in there but she somehow managers to break free and starts jumping around in the car.  She's isn't sick in the car, nor does she mess... she just jumps everywhere and crys.  She is not so bad on the return journey... I just need to stop it.  I'm think about getting a cage to put her in, in the boot.  I'm thinking that if she feels secure then she might be better.  Has anyone got any suggestions?  Thanks.

Not a complete solution, but we found this a help with our dog - make the outward journey short, eg to the local park - then the return journey can be as long as you like!
