We married and moved into a married quarter on the base, it was a very isolated life for myself at first but I soon settled in and found an amazing social life, way beyond the amazing social life i had lived before even! (and that was pretty good), and that actually saw us drift apart for a few years as he went on his fitters course to halton and i was on my own most weeks for 6 months, then he went to iceland for a month climbing glaciers for some science thing, it wasn't until he came out in 1982 that we started to really be a family as i had just had my eldest sone and we moved up to our own house in lancashire.
Hi Gina
Three year courtship with mrs bear........married now for 17 years this August ,and yes,.......... it was the best thing i ever did, along with fathering four lovely cubs, with her too.
It must be so bad for people that marry thinking it would be better for them.....but find they/they're partners change and become stale, boring and everyday!..........able to talk about anything, trust and knowing each other better than you know yourself........helps a lot, i would think!
We just stay the way we were, when we first met and never take each other for granted!............she's my best friend, my lover, mum to my cubs, and my missus!!

i got married to my ex at the tender age of 18, he was in the RAF and was based in oxford and i was in wales. Wehad a baby on the way, and as the advert goes.....we wanna be together! so we got married, in a crappy registry office with no guests. and i wasnt even allowed to invite my parents It was the worst mistake of my life, he was a violent bully and it took me 6 years to track the ******* down to get a divorce lol. If i could turn back time i would.
