It sounds like "Listen here" that was originally recorded by Eddie Harris but this does not sound like the version I have heard.

David - thank you so much - There are two versions of this ad each a with different jazz track and I have been trying to find out the music to the short UK TV ad for ages: having listened to Eddie Harris's "Listen here" this is definitely 'the one' (heh heh) - although, as you say, the version used in the ad is by someone else.
