This might not be an advert but oh well.
Its the trailer advertising Sims 2, the trailer has a sim with red, elvis type hair, and the song is talking about "new genration"

I haven't seen the trailer you are talking about.Is the song by a male or female singer? I know that Natasha Bedingfield has written and sung a song on the latest expansion for Sims 2 Free Time expansion pack for the PC.
