I was made bankrupt in 2004 and discharged at the end of that year. I have just been for a job interview in a call centre taking complaints and have been told although I would be fantstic at the job because I declared I was once bankrupt they will not take me? The role has nothing to do with finances or other peoples personal information? Have I been discrimiated against?
Thanks

No, you have just fallen foul of their recruitment policies.

Unlawful discrimination in employment occurs in cases of discrimination based on race, gender, religion, marital status, sexual orientation or if a person has had gender realignment surgery.

You have no case to claim unfair/unlawful discrimination.
