it overtakes me by the flaming lips. (unless theyve got a new one since then)

It's not a clay figure, but a stop-motion model.
One is hand drawn animation, and although the other is suppose to be a marionette, it had to be a rod puppet as strings would not move the puppet fast enough to keep up with the dance.
The strings were added later.
