What is the artists name & track name of the piece of music featured in the current UK TV advert for Renault Cars? It's a fast piece of French pop music.

Lyrics are something like : San blanc pour moi.

I think the artist was Plastic Bertrand and I think the song is

'Ca plane pour moi'

which I think means 'It's ok with me' or something.

Yes it's "Ca plane pour moi" = "That's the life for me".

But it's a cover version of the (I think) original (and best) by Plastic Bertrand.

Yes, the original was done by Plastic Bertrand. It came out/was around in 1978/1979. I think this is the original version on the advert. As a point of interest, our french teacher at the time tried to translate it after some wag bought it in. It didn't seem to make much sense, especially with lines like "wham,bam my cat splash sleeps on the mat with his tongue hanging out"!!!!!
