I think it is: Clint Mansell - Winter Overture.
Although it is sometimes known as Requiem For A Dream.
You might recognise it from Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers, in the final battle scene.

thanks faith jones, looking for that one for ages now!
One thing tho, that tune was only used in the advert for LOTR, Howard Shore composed the entirity of the score.
