Hi,

I too have been captivated by the haunting music on this advert, however I first heard it on the Chanel website advertising the launch of their new lipstick - "Le Rouge Allure", and after much research was able to find out more.

The music is by Georges Delerue, and was the original soundtrack to the film "LE MEPRIS", (contempt 1963). This particular tune is entitled "CAMILLE", and I believe starred Bridgitt Bardot. If you log on to Chanel and follow the instructions (listed below), you can view their advertising film and listen to the enchanting music to your hearts content, as I have done. The film is a little OTT, and has not prompted me to purchase the lippy!! Its interesting that two very well known cosmetic houses have both opted for this particular music, no idea who used it first though.

1), Logged onto www.live.chanel.com and then click on "English".
2) Next click on "fragrance & Beauty" (loads programme)
3) Click on "discover" - (opens a new window for Le Rouge Allure Chanel lipstick.)
4) At this point you need to close the original window as both will be running music.
5) The film will then load, and credits slowly appear voiced over by a seductive french mans voice. When the credits are all on the screen - you can then press F11 to view the whole screen - at bottom a menu will appear where you can watch the film, hear the music etc. It is played in its entirety.

Hope this all helps..........
Hi Me again,

Just having a look on amazon for movie soundtrack, and it would seem that Martin Scorsese borrowed it for his epic, film, Casino 1995. Guess this was the film you were referring too afterall??
