the 'ding' in gimme dat ding was almost cheese, it was reported to be refering to be a cheese and pickle sandwich

Right. Yeh, you're both right. That's the song, probably, and then it was usesd on an advert for some kind of cheese. Well..one to look out for in charity shops I suppose.
