I SHOULD have been on my way to Bruges this morning but thanks to the shenanigans at the tunnel, my trip has been cancelled. My May trip was cancelled for the same reason. My trip in October has also now been cancelled. The one I have booked in December is still on, for the time being, but that could well change

Hi Seeks, afternoon to you. It's still quite dark here but daylight will soon be here. It's to be quite a good day I think, I hope.

At last, it's now daylight, so I may go out for a wander along the seafront and get some sea air into my old lungs.

Just getting dark here in California. I'm sitting by the open window and I can hear a Micheal Jackson song drifting up from the street. I can also smell burgers cooking and it' s killing me as I am on a low carb diet.

5.55 AM here in Gloucestershire.

Some patches of cloud around, but it's going to be a reasonable day. A strongish wind will help the washing to dry when it gets on the line.

Frisco, Jan. I didn't see any evidence of fires when we flew here. Good morning WBM

That's where the fires were reported. Just north of SF. Frisco is my favourite city in the entire world. I LOVE it there. I love the city, the people, the entire layout of the area. Wonderful. Lucky you. I'm very envious.

Tiggy is in fine shape ta Jan. I was out last night, got back about ten, he was stood by his water dish, metaphorically tapping his foot and looking at his watch as if to say ? 'What time do you call this pal?' So he got his supper with profuse apologies.

My cousin used to live in San Jose and I used to come here eons ago. It was a nice city then. It's still a nice city (apart from the weather) but unfortunately, you can't walk down the street these days without being pestered by drunks and homeless people who have mental health issues. That is sad. You can walk down a street here and be perfectly OK but you turn around a corner to a different street and it's like another world - you just wouldn't feel safe.

When I was in SF, I stayed in Sutter St , quite close to Japan Town. It was all very beautiful then.
