[ just in case you think that your phone is playing up ]

Yet again the useless apology for a mobile network that trades as EE (Everything Everywhere) should be rebranded as NA (Nothing Anywhere).

Data access has been burgered since 11am for many (most?) of their users and now phone/text services are beginning to fail too.

Their user forum has an anodyne message posted by them :

http://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Network-Updates/Data-access-4-11-14/m-p/236889#M619

which, as usual, was very tardy and very economical with the actualité ...

What a shambles.

Did EE used to be Orange?
Question Author
Formed by a merger of Orange and T-Mobile, ummmm.

Still trades under all three brands (possibly because it's harder for customers to hit a moving target ...)
Well, they all get problems at some time or other.
Wonder what they got wrong ?
Question Author
Asda and Virgin Mobile customers 'may be affected too' ...
Unilever, for example, owns over 400 brands. The more you have the bigger market share you are likely to get. If they have any sense they'll keep them all. But there is a cost for each of course, so I can't see them starting up another 397 :-D

Rumoured to be an IT cock-up, OG, with people's call/text/data allowances being set to zero - hence no access to network.

But that may just be Chinese Whispers.
Just for once, it's not affecting me.....yet
Glad I changed networks two weeks ago.
Ahh, if it has any affect on the internet side of things, mine has been playing up today. Wouldn't let me access things properly for a while this afternoon.

Thanks for letting us know :)
Question Author
Ironically, the worst affected are those who (should) have the best service - 4G internet seems to be virtually unusable.
Sounds about right!

Argos is annoying me now, the second time I've tried to get on and look at stuff but it won't let me on as it says its limiting the number of customers as so busy!!! If that is their excuse then I can't imagine Christmas shopping will be too much fun for anything there!
Hnurr-hurr-hurr
I'm usually piston broke...
sorry Dave, this is of no help.
Question Author
It has limped back into action round here - if you are still suffering then try putting your phone/tablet into airplane mode for a few moments - that will force it to make a fresh network connection which should work.
Jus after I said it wasn't affecting me... Grrrr
im on EE not had any problems
