The track in the Civic advert is "Java", written by E.Stern and arranged and performed by the semi-legendary 'space age popster', composer, arranger and innovator Andre Popp (born France, 1924), who had his first worldwide hit in 1954 with "Les Lavandieres du Portugal [Portugese Washerwomen]" and his biggest smash with the more conventional "Love Is Blue" in the late sixties. Popp fanatics cite "Delirium in Hi-Fi" (late 50's, includes the track "Java") or "The Adventures of Piccolo, Saxie and company" as his best work.
