minty I had a great weekend thanks. 50 of us in one hotel! I only knew two when I got on the coach. By the time the weekend was over I knew them all. One couple on the trip own a pub, which was the pick-up point, when we returned they invited us all in for a carvery on the house. A wedding in the hotel on Saturday, they had the ballroom in the evening, a lot of them came down to the dining room where we were 'cos we were having more fun! :o}

minty, yes I know Straiton. It's like it's now turning into a downtown Manhatten doesn't it?. Haven't been in that area for many years now. Is there still an IKEA there? It was always packed out on a Sunday. I used to visit friends and it was like an expedition party setting off when we went to Straiton. As you say, it is now the centre of the capitalist universe. xx

Boaty..I'll be out today but should be back around 4pm.....Got to go into town to do a few things for nephew....help him sort insurance...bank..doctor ..etc etc ...he doesn't know where anything is in Edinburgh....still thinks he doesn't need winter coat or jumpers...that's what 15 years in Singapore does !

Jan....IKEA still as busy, just next door to COSTCO...and yards from Sainsburys ..very busy wee corner...heard there is going to be an aldi there too !....your friends in park avenue can walk there !
