I heard that on the radio this morning, RIP Noel - unfortunately, it's one song that I really dislike!
One of those definitive 1960s pieces of work

Still, he lives on in that 2 minutes 18 seconds

and Goldfrapp is carrying on the good work in the '60s Film Score' category
always makes me think of this.

I always got this mixed up with "MacArthur Park" somehow. Singers had similar names I suppose.

I remember the song well, just checked on Wikipedia and didn't realise he was Rex Harrison's son. He was 79, makes me feel old too, mikey!
shocked to read that he was 79, doesn't seem five minutes since rex was that age

Noel Harrison was an English Olympic athlete, actor, and singer. He was the son of British actor Sir Rex Harrison. Wikipedia
Born: January 29, 1934, London
Died: October 22, 2013
RIP I used to love that song but until you mentioned it I could not remember who sung it,nice reminder of days gone by.
"At an early age he was a member of the British ski team, becoming its first giant-slalom champion in 1953, and representing Great Britain at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, Norway and at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy"
That has taken me back in time. RIP, Noel.
I remember going to see the Bonzos at Dorking Halls, it must have been about... 1965.
The Thomas Crowne Affair.......
Oh dear - memory plays tricks - it's wasn't the Bonzos at all, it was the Temperance Seven....
didn;t know he'd been in the Olympics; you live and learn
Actually saw Noel Harrison perform that song at a nightclub, and his dad Rex was there.
Boxy I saw the temperence seven at my school's jazz ball. They had been booked just before their hit, I think it was 'you're driving me crazy'
