Hi the advert for Magners Cider, What a day for a daydream, is this the original singer Ray Davies from the Kinks ??? sounds like him. cheers

Hi Eastender. I haven't seen the advert, but Daydream was originally performed by The Lovin' Spoonful, led by John Sebastian, not by The Kinks.

The song is actually "Sunny Afternoon", but I don't know who sings the version on the advert - it may be Ray Davies, but it's not the original recording.

Ah, that explains it, brachiopod. Come to think of it, the two songs aren't exactly the most distant of cousins, are they?
