My daughter purchased a 12 month old Volkswagon Scerocco some 9 months ago. Over this period her Headlights & Sidelights are ON Day & Night as soon as she turns ON her ignition !!
She assures me that this is usual for this model as there is no way to switch them OFF !!
She says that they are known as DAYLIGHT RUNNING LIGHTS, BUT they are just Ordinary Head / Side Lights. Unfortunately she no longer lives at home & I cannot get hold of her HandBook. PLEASE can somebody out there answer the question of Is She Correct with her assumption as I JUST CANNOT see that this is correct !!
Thank You ALL in advance, Kenny in North WALES.

Bit like Volvo, lights always on, on certain models

you seem overly concerned about this.i think it is one of the best safety features on a car.there are plenty of people with reduced vison and they can see a car coming if its headlights are on.

and scroll down to European union. Soon, you won't get a new car that doesn't have them!
Planeloco, you do seem extraordinarily concerned about this. I'm intrigued to understand why as it is common place on many cars, what is it that bothers you so???
In Sweden Figures show, a car with their Lights on helps to stop accidents ( Volvo)
