I'm glad it was a positive visit shaney, hope it helps things improve for you. I can give you plenty of pacing tips, aka 'do it tomorrow/next week/not at all'. :o)
Just perched here with my cucumber sandwiches...that's poshe intit?
Hi all, Lovely to see you Lottie, have a lovely holiday.
I am glad you got on ok Shaney and that she was helpful. I am delighted to be retired but I did used to love my job and seeing people in their own homes.
Its another warm day here and lots of dog dozing going on. I have a blackbirds nest in the front harden and they fledged yesterday evening which was exciting as they were in the bushes in the back garden. No harm done though and they all got safely home again. Rab did excited bird watching dreams all night. I have just made my FIL a fathers day card to post today. I sent him a book from amazon, he likes thrillers so I find him the new publications which he wouldn't buy himself. Amazon giftwrap too so its nice and easy.
Robi, you just popped up like a baby blackbird!
yes woofy, you tapped my nest and my beak opened...feed me! :)

aww, it'll be tarquin's first Father's day.
Robi would you like suet treats or peanut hearts?
Oh no thanks, strawberries are what I'd like, they're the recommended food for baby blackbirds. :)

Footy or cooking on the tele, deep joy. I'd potter in the garden but the bugs bite in the evening...it's been a lovely day.

Hello lottie, glad you are ok, have a super holiday

Been to Beachy Head and told off some very silly japanese tourists who went over the edge and sat on a ledgetotake photos. The chaplaincy was there but "have no powers" to stop any one from being stupid, so sis and I gave them a jollly good telling off, they apologised, it is really exceptionally stupid. I always visit the memorials there for the people who have jumped. Then we went to Birling Gap to see the cliff erosion, it really is scary, 4 houses have gone in recent years, demolished so they don't fall into the sea. So much has gone since the 60's.
evening all, Rye was lovely yesterday, glorious sun all day and I went to the top of the church tower to see out over the hills and dales and salt marshes and sea. Jno jnr has worked out an amicable separation with a decent payoff; still a bit of a shock , and he will start hunting for other jobs soon (his last day is tomorrow after about 4 years, but he's got a week in Sicily next week to relax and unwind, arranged months ago) but also plans to do some sort of management course which most people in his line of business seem to have. OH is wrestling with problems of selling, or not, some overseas property which is about to be surrounded by a new development. I seem to be the only one around without a care in the world, though I will do my best to share everyone else's.
I've just sat on me perch and got all the dinner ready . This is wonderful ! I did have a seat that I got from Argos for doing ironing but it was a bit wibbly wobbly for me and I gave it to my SiL .This is far sturdier .
It's been glorious here today too ..Oh yes ..footie starts tonight ...I'll get no sense out of my menfolk now for a month . I'll get them back when the tennis is on :)

.............of entering here???
yawns, stretches, brews up cuppa for unexpected guests
Morning all...sunny and a very warm Friday 13th already. (This time 41 years ago I was about to go into labour :o/)

Oh have we had another visitor? Hello...please don't confuse us with other groups, we're the Good Morning Old Birds crew.

I'd better try and get out of here, there's obviously a way, I need some supplies ...I prefer to wait til about lunchtime so I can annoy the swing badge crew buying their sandwiches and red bull but it'll be a bit hot by then.
