vanishing answers

does anyone know why my answers are vanishing.?They weren't obscene or derogatory...just answers

Ah! Now you see what happened to my answer following on from yours yesterday, Woofgang. There was nothing untoward about mine either...just floated away to some mail-box in the sky.

I also had an answer drift off into cyberspace the other week. Again, it was worded quite innocuously, BUT it was a little dismissive of God, so perhaps AB has finally got the all-powerful moderator it deserves!

Several possibilities (other than the gremlins in bernardo's computer). Reasons why posts disappear include:

• your answers were to duplicate questions; sometimes we have time to transfer answers to the surviving thread, sometimes we don't.
• your answers were obscene, derogatory, inappropriate, jokey or clearly wrong first answers (therefore taking the Q out of the 'Unanswered' list). NB I'm *not* suggesting that woofgang's posts were any of the above.
• questioner requests the thread is removed.
• errr... gremlins.

Thanks Ed, I can be, on occasion, all of those things but never on AB!!

My computer? I think the gremlins are in AB itself, not just my computer. The spolling mistaeks get everywhere in everybody's massages.
