I think trolls were smallish goblins who lived under bridges, weren't they? I don't think they did much harm, but liked to frighten passersby. I'm sure none of those criteria apply to you, so put it out of your mind, your accuser is misinformed. There's a lot of it about...
Its probably 'cause your green (new-name). When people are barred off this site re-register new names.
And by the way, Bill Bailey describes himself as 'part-Troll'...
That would do nicely for me, because it equates to being a comic genius. So there.
Good morning Terambulan, I didn't quite understand your response to Harry-Wragg's query. I'm fairly new here myself, is 'troll' some sort of pejorative thing, or does it is just designate a recent contributor, like 'newbie' or whatever
its a re-invention of id. As newbys are in green print its hard to distinquish them from 'barred' members (New Ed does a lot of barring these days) so their known as trolls till they prove different. Summat like that, I gather?

I went to school with someone with the suname wragg, in ormskirk it was, mark I think he was called.
Dot.....I think this user got this name from Harry Wragg who used to be a racehorse trainer or owner or something like that many many years ago....or was he a jockey?

Oh never heard of him, donlt think, heard of Ginger McCain, he lived near me!!
found him....it is also a cockney rhyming slang for 'fag'

ahhh that would make sense cos all cockneys live in the bookies, well my father-in-law certainlt did!!!
Being a green name ( a newbie ) is nothing to do with being a troll.

If a user is banned for trollish behaviour and reregisters with a new id that doesn't make him a troll - it's the behavious that is trollish.

"An "Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" or "Message Board Troll" is a person who posts outrageous message to bait people to answer. Forum Troll delights in sowing discord on the forums. A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion. Flaming discussions usually end with name calling and a flame war."
