Uploading image to Wikipedia

Hi, any help on this would be great. I've had an article in Wikipedia for some time and I have been trying to insert an image into the article. The image appears to have been technically 'uploaded' as it appears in Wiki's image files but trying to bring it into the article has defeated me. If I click the icon that's supposed to bring it in I get a sample image. Has anyone uploaded an image successfully?
