i did not type flump. if you accept the advert why blush at my typing the title.
And are you fed up?
that sounds like something that will be fixed at 10:01 tomorrow. Is it a google ad? It doesn't exactly sound like an ad AB would accept directly.
Lady J that happened to me the first time I used my tablet. Somehow I ended up on the website. I was on answerbank, left it to go into the kitchen, came back and there it was.
Question Author
i have no idea it just popped up at the top of answerbank when i opened it. now i can see a car loan ad.

naked, well-endowed young ladies bouncing up and down are not my idea of an ad for this particular site.
Question Author
thanks tilly. i almost thought i had done something wrong.

maybe i'm a fuddy duddy or too straight-laced but. . . . . . . . .
Well, I was horrified too. It hasn't happened since. I was going to take the tablet back to John Lewis and complain because they had set it up for me. It happened, literally, in the first five minutes of using it.

Lj, you blooming tease!
I signed out and back in again
all I'm getting is the car-loan ad.

;o)
Im searching and still cant find it, bloody ad blocker!!!
Question Author
don't think you can blame john lewis for that but it is most unpleasant isn't it?

and i can see why you thought they had done something wrong but more than the assistant's job is worth i would have thought.

i'm not teasing. it has happened more than once. left it the first couple of times but have now decided enough is enough. so come on ed.

I know it wasn't the shop assistant lady j but I couldn't think of another explanation. How did I end up on the web site?
Question Author
i have not been looking at any sites like this.

ages ago looked for support stockings for very elderly friend and was told i was entering adult site - which i didn't bother with but this was when i logged into answerbank.
Question Author
don't know tilly. i got it when i signed in. very unnecessary imo.
I did not appreciate until recently that the ads you see are delivered depending on your ISP and where it is located. On holiday, the ads were in a foreign language and for strange products.

It could well be that your computer or device was tested or used in a location where that advert is acceptable. And briefly appeared from the computer's cache.
So, John Lewis were to blame then?
Deleting your browser's history and cache should solve it.
Thank you, gromit. Any idea how to do that on a Samsung Galaxy tablet?
