Oh gawd, how can I ask a question on this thread without getting myself in trouble?

Ed, please feel free to remove this if it breeches any Site Rules but I genuinely have to ask:

Why do you need to ask naomi which slot the offending ad is in?
Does it not show on your screen?
That is a genuine, non inflammatory question, please don't hold it against me!
If it is deemed so, please remove it by all means.

Chill, as I understand it, people see a variety of adverts on here so I'm not necessarily seeing what you're seeing. I think a lot of it is connected to the sites we search on the internet - but no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

^^ Having said that, I've no idea why I got one for the Territorial Army! :o)
Thanks naomi. I did wonder because I see them when using the iPhone but haven't seen the TA one.

I'll leave it there!

You're welcome. :o)
Thanks Naomi. Was that on individual questions, or was it in the "category" page for Q&P, Crosswords or Chatterbank?

"Why do you need to ask naomi which slot the offending ad is in?"
Because different slots are provided by different advertisers - so it requires different channels/methods for clearing out the offending ad.

"Does it not show on your screen?"
The short answer is no, not necessarily. Different ads are shown to different people at different times.

It was in R&S category page.
Great, ta :)
I'm still wondering what I've done to get a 'Crack Stitching Kit' advert.

I think I need to review my browsing history.....
Is that for builder's bums? Or ghetto drug problems?
Thanks for the clarification Ed, it was a genuine question borne out of curiosity.
