Onwards and Downwards Continues in July

Welcome to July's Onwards and Downwards where we offer support and good feelings for those who are trying to shift a few pounds. We are not experts we just offer our own personal experience.

All who are serious about trying to loose weight are welcome.

We tend to have a weekly weigh in on Wednesday and we don't judge.

Here is last months thread

Thanks Ed. You are ahead of yourself and we all appreciate it.
Bit premature :-D
Well here we are starting July so don't forget to click on "subscribe". Hopefully there are many of you that can strut your new "summer shapes" with more pride than you perhaps did last summer and for others we are "work in progress" Which ever heading describes you, be proud of your efforts and remember.....stay focused!! Onwards and downwards
You're nit picking OG......lol
Better pull my socks up after tomorrows nights dinner. Still got last weeks 2 meals to shift. It's not a losing battle I will get back to it . Onwards AND Downwards.
I think I've had food poisoning, so if I haven't lost weight next Wednesday I'll eat my hat. :-(
I'm opting out for a while - I've seen my doctor and am having problems with my kidneys, so I shall continue to try to eat sensibly, but have got to try and get rid of the oedema that is on my legs - I put on 2lbs last week but the doctor thinks that it's a fluid buildup rather than fat. So I'll get myself sorted but will continue to cheer everyone on!
I am sorry to hear that Islasmum but hope that with your doctor's administrations you will soon be back with us as an active member.
Islasmum I hope all goes well for you and you come back to us with good news.
I am not holding out much hope for Wednesday this week. Eton Mess after dinner out yesterday say no more.
Oh Wendilla. You are going to have to start living a hermits life I fear. All your socializing is working against you, but lets see what happens lol
You are right Xstitcher. We should be showing an example to everyone after all we started all this over 2 years ago and I done well last year. This stone is bouncing up and down. One week it is going to bounce down and not go up.
Good morning all,

I'm down again but only ½ lb. and I have been so good this week. I guess again it is the size of my portions that is letting me down. Hmmmmm. That sounds like I am eating huge plate fulls which I am not. Oh well down in good. I hope the rest of you will be going the same way...
Isn't is disheartening Xstitcher when you have really tried and don't lose much. Now between this week and last week I have been out 3 times plus sunday carvery and I have lost 1lb. I really expected a gain this week but I will have to be careful in case it catches up with me.
Good for you Wendilla. Now you can enjoy the memory of your Eaton Mess!!
Well done Xstitcher and Wendilla! I have lost a pound and a half this week, but no credit to me, it was the food poisoning.
Thanks notafish.....hope the effects of the food poisoning are a thing of the past now...
Thank you. Yes it is :-)
Well done xstitcher, wendilla and notafish. Stayed the same this week which I am ok with as had a couple of nights out this week and a couple of blips when I got a bit down. Back on it with a vengeance for the following week, want to try and lose another stone by my birthday in August.
Hi Jan I know even though you have a blip you and your wobbler will do it. I have has 3 blips this last week . I have got to be careful for next week as I did not deserve to lose this week .
Sorry islasmum, nearly missed you there. Hope you feel better soon and can join in with us again. x
