Don't subscribe to posts then anne... You can always check your profile for questions you've answered. That would stop any emails being sent.

hi china. your right, but i thought id read somewhere that the emails had stopped.
Why don't you open an email account just for AB?
There was a time when I kept pestering the Ed about a lack of e/mails. However, now that 'Subscribed Threads' are clearly listed down the right hand side of every page, perhaps e/mails are superfluous. Also, as indicated by China Doll, there are other means of keeping tabs on one's postings.

Sorry ummm, I don't see that a separate e/mail account would be advantageous, because one would still have to spend time deleting them from their in-box.

hi ron, i quite agree re opening a email account, i would still require to delete them.. hope all is well with you both.
Why would you have to delete them? You don't even need to go into the account....especially if you only use it for AB.
plus if youve read that emails are no longer sent, no need to request they are not sent - they are no longer sent

bed... they are still being sent !!!!!!!!!!! i hope the sun shone for william and for those who were privileged to know and love him...♥
Hi Anne...We are fine. Hope you are likewise.

ummmm..I acknowledge what you are saying but I would not wish to set-up a number of e/mail addresses. Might be better if AB were able to ensure that all of its e/mails could only be accessed via a 'Junk Mail 'folder. That way it would only require one or two clicks to get rid of what could be dozen and dozens, if one is involved with a lot of lengthy threads.

bednobs...Anne is correct....E/mails are still received if you 'Subscribe' to a Question/Answer. Perhaps you never hit the 'Subscribe' button as I regularly do.

well change the email address on your AB profile to (a) disposable email account (really easy to set up) and never go into it, or (b) amade-up nonexistent email address
That wouldn't work, surely - you can only have one email account registered on AB AND gravatar?
Tsk factor, I was commenting on the one above yours ;-)
It is a simple matter to change one's e/mail address on AB by clicking into 'My Profile' and then 'Amend Profile'...the only thing one cannot alter is 'Username''

factor30's suggestion is therefore a possible solution and is along the same lines as originally put forward by ummmm

Ron, I think if you mark one email from any party as 'spam', then all subsequent ones will be treated as spam and put in your spam folder.
Can't you just mark an AB email as Junk and then the rest will follow into your Junk folder won't they?
sorry, I meant 'all subsequent ones from the same party'.
Boxy....you can have numerous email addresses on Gravatar.
Good thought jno.....you beat ladybirder by one minute.

Best wishes both...Ron.
well, she has a wooden leg plus she had to bring the laundry in out of the rain, so I had an unfair advantage.
I subscribe to lots of threads and do not find it a problem to delete as needed once I have been made aware.
