My mum would often say "Yes pet, if God spares me" if I asked for something that was in the future,
my Dad, if I wanted something and say it was a shilling, if I went on with the please, please bit, would say, "ok, heres two bob, bring back two of them"
I was spoilt rotten mind you..LOL

YES, it started at Uni for me!

She always had loads of plastic carrier bags in a kitchen cupboard, god knows what for. When I went to Uni I once opened my kitchen cupboard and loads fell out - I stopped doing it that minute!
