A colleague of mine has a blood pressure monitor with her at work at the moment and I took mine on it. I had 141 and 71 as my numbers. I'm 6ft 4, 12 stone and 23 and my heart rate was 60bpm. What does it all mean?

Likewise laurence - my aim isn't to offend but to highlight !
oooh Skreecheey ! Watch your liver !!
There is no enjoyment in this life is there? :0(
Skreecheeboy, and if your walking back from the pub after 8 pints smoking a Cig, be careful grossing the road? :O(
or crossing the road might be more appropriate
I just took mine ..its was at ..154 over 99...pluse rate ...106

thats high aint it ?
yes laurence it was, you went straight for the jugluar there,
you are right of course, i hold my hands up and plead guilty to being a smoker of ----------years, i'm trying to stop, honest.
Stopping smoking is the single most important thing you can do to improve your health, even if on the face of it you appear fine and healthy - you are only 23, see if you can say in 10 or 20 years time that it hasn't affected you.
Blyss, that pulse rate is extremely high, average is about 72!!!! U sure it was that?

Wow! I'm like superman compared to Blyss! Move away from Glasgow darlin! About the other posts, I kind of feel like I've got plenty of timme to stop smoking, I mean I play footy and do plenty of walking and cycling and stuff that it doesn't really matter all that much to me at the moment. Althouhg I've always said I'll stop for the sake of kids which I've not got at the moment. I really enjoy it aswell!
yup I took it all correctly ..seems I need a little trip to see the doc eh ?
skreecheboy, because you play football, walk & cycle dosen't mean anything, every Cig you inhale is damaging your internal organs {lungs} by the day, no amount of fitness will slow this process down, only giving up smoking would be of benifit, i read something not to long back that said the average smoker loses 10 years off his/hers life expectancy, tho some people are an exception to the rule, a friend of mind whos just turned 50 has got serious lung problems caused by smoking, he looks like he's 65 years of age, i hope i'm wrong but i'll be surprised if he's still alive in the next 2/3 years, he realises he's killing himself, but puts it down to an addiction and ones life luxuries which i do understand.

Ps, he always talks about his son ie he's very proud of him for not smoking, hes just past his driving test & just got engaged, lets hope hes around to see his only child get married in 2 years
