Thursday. Cloudy again this morning. New fireplace in and looks lovely. Very pleased with it.
I was driving along yesterday when one of my hearing aids just stopped working. A very odd sensation and upset the equilibrium a bit, so I switched off the other one too. Phoned the hearing clinic for an appointment. The earliest at the Vale Hospital, two miles fro here, is the end of October, Gloucester Royal Hospital, fifteen miles from here, can fit me in at 1700 today, So I shall go early, hope I can find a parking place, and have a meal in the excellent restaurant, cheap too.
The new fireplace is in and looks lovely. The wee men turned up on time, it took them two and a half hours and they did a grand job. I'm very pleased with it.
I don't think I saw that, albs xx are you going to get your own back? Get to the till and then start remembering other things you need, leave your purse right at the bottom of your bag etc...xx
lol Pix, I did get my own back, unfortunately it was a report to the manager who was most apologetic.
Told him I don't require an apology, I just don't need staff who are downright rude and unpleasant at the checkout :-D
(must be getting to be a grumpy old woman lol)
What I once did with an obnoxious shop keeper. Got several items, put them on the counter, waited until the git have entered them onto the till then left them on the counter and just walked out.
Boaty, have done that a few times in different supermarkets.
On each occasion, cashier said can't sell you that alcohol unless you provide proof of age. At first I was flattered, but was with 22 year old son and the git thought I was buying for him.
Well, that's was thinking does, it loses a customer.
Been there too albs. one young lady behind the counter when I was buying a bottle of TD, With a twinkle in her eye asked me if I was old enough to buy it. I asked her to marry me. She said when I'm old enough.
there's a couple of cashiers who I have a really good laugh with, brightens my day and I hope it does theirs.
Don't feel too bad about parting with the dosh when they are on :-D
Ann is improving daily, still painful but she has reached the point of saying that the pain from the operation is less than she was suffering previously. She is naturally frustrated and wants to run before walking.
She now sees a future where she can start some serious walking instead of an increasingly sedentery life, life is so much better when there is a target to aim at.
