Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

Afternoon all.
Not so hot today ,more normal pleasant temps out there.Zero plans here too.Watched the Queen's speech earlier.She looked nice .I bet she was relieved not to have to wear all her regalia in the heat.I reckon the poor old D of E has got bladder problems.

my one tooth is staying in place but I have to take it out when eatin in case it dislodges and gets swallowed.

Still 29 degrees in my car. I had to take it in for its airbags to be sorted out, all the same model have been recalled. They nearly deployed twice while I drove back, with idiot drivers on the roads.

Hello, good evening, tis I.... eventually. Been a bit busy when I felt ok and the days just seem to go so fast at the moment. Lol shaney, I have got a pile of Woman's Weekly here, my sister brought them on Fri.

Hope you all and your teeth are ok. I went down mexico way this morning, my first appt with a new gp for a meds review. He was running late but he's really lovely, so calm. I've been having a prob with numbness and pain in my left hand and I was worried at at first but Dr Google said it was a trapped nerve in the elbow and he agreed with that. Hopefully it'll get better on it's own.

Been a tad warm hasn't it? Even I've exposed some flesh :) Not quite as hot today as Monday, or maybe I'm getting used to it, it clouded over. Heavy & a bit headachey now, hope it isn't going to be a stormy night.

Hi Robi et al. Tis cooler here tonight. Shughy and I would be happy to flake out but Rab has to guard the garden against monsters...eventually he will get weary and come in too.

it wasn't quite so hot today but it feel warmer tonight, so the fan in the bedroom is on. It's supposed to start raining tomorrow morning, about the time I leave for a hospital appointment (an annual event where he says "Have you had a heart attack?" and I say "No").

Hello all. Hot or what? My single tooth dislodged during the raspberry temptation, so I put it in bag. I cannot eat with it at all as is so small. The chemist gave me some free glue which I used on the bottom set and obvs used too much there was glue all inside my mouth and was horrible, but worked. Still wiping it out. Very nervous today as last night I saw a huge black cockroach in the kitchen and Mr N was already asleep so he couldn't tackle it, he looked this morning and said it had probably gone, but gone where eh? Am walking about in wellies and it's soo hot. Hija popped by and left a huge bin full of washing, sheets, clothes everything.

Neti..when you come home on your hols ,go to Boots or Superbug and get some Wernets denture fixative powder.It's much better than that gloopy stuff.

I will shaney I asked in the chemist here but they do not do the powder. Think I'll have to return to dentist to get it fitted better, sad as it looks so natural even I can't tell which one it is!!
Mr N brought in a curry, well 3 different curries actually and it was nice not to have to prepare anything. Am off for a swim then an early air conned night. Cat is all sorted as I will NOT enter that kitchen at night anymore!!!

I had oysters last night, I love oysters but am running to the loo a lot today but I put that down to the excess of wine and hierbas (local lethal liqueur) that I have imbibed during the last 4 days!

Morning all. Well I found the dead cockroach by the back door. I wasn't sure what it was as I didn't have glasses on so I sprayed and sprayed and sprayed. And it didn't move so I whacked open the door with trusty cockroach killing broom and swept it out. It was well dead. I hate them. Island has so many at the moment.

Nice day again and not so hot and stuffy .I think the mini heat wave is over.
I love oysters Neti but not at the price they charge for them these days.I have to make do with cockles:)
Nothing doing here. In the local rag the pub with the bones saga rumbles on.They've resumed digging but with lighter machinery and under supervision from a team of archaeologists.

good morning all. its another cooler pleasant day here and we are practicing our lolling skills again. the dogs by choice and me because I overdid the gardening yesterday and my knee is complaining. if I ignore it, it will escalate its complaints to either locking painfully or giving way without warning which adds to the interest of the day but quickly gets tedious. A day of rest and a day of light activity sorts it and as the option is a surgical wash out, I will stick to the rest regime.
I get my first pension payment at the end of July...a lump will go back to the taxman but heigh ho....its looking like I might see a winter fuel payment too but I am not relying on it.

We've been out for lunch, I bought a loose cotton poncho style top to wear with flappy linen trousers and a big floppy hat, felt very famous, and teeth stayed put! Swam in pool once back home and now in cool bedroom!
Oh woofy take it easy you are always doing things, too hot to do anything. So soon to be a wealthy oap? I had the fuel allowance once, bought a tv and froze but no more.
