do you think the supermarkets have a duty of care in the way car parking is set out? what I mean by that is space given to each car, my Nephew has an expensive car & he straddles 2 lanes, many comments are said to him regards his parking until he explains why he doe this, the commenters usually agree with him, how many dents have you had in your car due to Supermarkets car parks & how much has it cost you.

In order to avoid dents, I try to park as far away from other cars as possible, even if this means a longer walk to the store.

Something that effects me about supermarket car parks is the was a minority of drivers drive far too fast !

Statistically speaking, supermarkets have the potential to cause more death and injury than most other places where cars and people mix.

I just take one of my less precious vehicles, even then I park a long way from the door. There are eejits who can't drive but I can't see that's the car parks problem. He can get fined for not parking in a bay, though usually they are un enforceable.
In Bolton at least 5 years ago the enforcers on the car parks had cameras and detailed anyone over a white line, issuing a ticket.

Vauxhall Insigna, top of the Range TTT, to be honest i can't blame him, I do not agree with his actions but his car never gets dents.
