Gromit : "The Syrian Army (Assad's) are fighting on 2 fronts, one against ISIS and one against the good rebels. With ISIS beat, they can can concentrate on reclaiming their country and fnishing off the rest of the rebels. Assads professional army 300,000 + another 300,000 reservists will make short work of the 70,000 rebels.
Well done Dave."
The Syrians now have the launch codes for their S-300's in Damascus and Russia has deployed its S-400 missiles in Latakia and have now equipped their Su-34 planes with air-to-air missiles: the Americans had already sent 6 F-16 equipped with air-to-air missiles, and 300 airmen to Turkey's Incirlik airbase in August this year as part of Operation Inherent Resolve against ISIS. (ISIS has no air force )
So basically Russia/Syria could now impose their own missile-enforced no-fly zone but that had to be disrupted by US/NATO.
If that does not derail/escalate this complex situation Gromit, do you really think Operation Inherent Resolve and its cohorts would permit Syria/Russia to destroy its '70,000 moderates ?
