No, didn't think link had appeared the first time - apologies.
It does seem a lot of expense given that he has a very limited time left to reign.

Could A4 photocopies not be arranged? Easy to find a frame too.
When is there a good time to change the monarchs portrait...shouldcwe have stopped after Henry 8
Jno, it is ?

Agree with you Maggie . Disgusting.
anne, no less a personage than Oliver Dowden, the cabinet minister, says it's part of "plans to celebrate the new reign and bring the nation together". I can't make the coronation myself, as I'm down to wash my hair that day, but it'll be nice to think I can see a portrait of the king when I'm queuing at the Post Office.
// it drew immediate criticism from anti-monarchy campaigners //

Who'd a thunk?

It could be worse; they could use portraits of the current Prime Minister. At the current rate-of-change that would bankrupt the country in no time.
Not alot compared with cost of changing stamps....coins...qc to kc...passports?
Should we never change any of them things
Let us eat cake.
Bobb - look on the bright side; OHMS never changes.
Actually we don't change coins/stamps etc, we just switch the image when new ones are minted leaving the old ones still valid.
Well considering nothing had had to be changed for 70 years it's not that bad.
Prudie, I agree .
