I renewed my passport online, last week, can anybody tell me how long do they usually take for my new passport to arrive? Thank you X

My nephew had his returned within a week after he re-applied last month but I don't know what the norm is,when I last did mine and Trish's about four years ago it took about three weeks. I think it depends a bit on if it's a new application or a renewal.

I seem to recall that when I last had to renew my passport (2012) it took rather less than that.

it'll probablly depend on how many applications they're dealing with. As people have suddenly realised that they may need a new passport to go to the USA, there may be a sudden rush.

I renewed my son's passport in March and it took about a week.

Did mine 2 weeks ago ... it took 6 days.

I didn't realise that you can renew your passport on line now .

What about documents that you may have to provide in support - do they accept scan copies ?
