Wednesday already. Where does the time go, I dunno, but wherever it does, it did.

No frost but lots of cloud. It looks a bit damp out there. 24 daqs to midwinter, spring not far behind. :o}

Have a happy day everyone.

I'm fine thanks. I'll be better after my third mug of Earl Grey though. How are you both this morning?
I've got my niece arriving this afternoon to visit for a couple of days so we'll no doubt quaff some champagne later. We both LOVE champagne. Terrible really, champagne taste but beer income.
never been a lover of champagne always found it to dry for me
Question Author
I know that one jan :o} I'm fine thanks. I have a lunch meeting today, so no washing up! :o} A drop of champers is most enjoyable. I have a bottle in the fridge that will be enjoyed on 11th December. :o}
Question Author
I much prefer dry wines, I don't have a sweet tooth.
Love a nice dry champagne. HAS to be a good one though. I hate cheapie champers.
Anyway, have to go now. A ton of things to do. So, until we meet again by the light of the silvery moon, I bid you both .. farewell. xx

Have a happy day with your niece jan. :o} xxxxx
Morning All, back to the coalface today - dentist was just a polish and spit, washing machine bloke came and assessed washing machine for repair and said he'd need to order parts :-( got to work this morning to find e-mail from Currys telling me that they have written it off as beyond economical repair and gave me a voucher for 229.99 to get a new machine :-)) - RESULT!!! I knew it was worth insuring one last time (£44)!! Downside is that i'll probably have to collect and transport it myself as well as plumb it in. I know it is supposed to be an easy job but my DIY skills are all but useless!!

Question Author
Morning welshie. That's a good result mate! :o}

Collect the new machine before you disconnect the old one. Then you can connect the pipes of the new one as you disconnect the old one. If you know what I mean! :o}

Won't curry's deliver?
Morning Boaty - I had thought of using the pipes of the old one but most machines nowadays are cold only fills aren't they? Currys website is down at the moment so will check later. Trouble with delivery is that I would need to take time off to be there when they deliver. I was hoping that if I do get a delivery that they would take the old one away - after all, they wrote it off and I would have thought that delivery, installation and removal of the old machine should be done by them.
Question Author
I doubt they will do that mate, their delivery crews are just that usually. It's not difficult to do. You should be able to specify a delivery time as you are at work. If you phone the council they should collect the old one if it's left outside.
Question Author
Yes, most of them are cold fill only, so the hot fill will have to be turned off. There should be a valve near the connection point.
Thanks for that - I reckon even I can turn the tap off - which way is off? (LOL)
Goodly morning peeps xx

No frost but looks soggy outside.
Hall light has fizzled, and guess who now needs to go and buy a replacement cos there's none left in the cupboard :-)

Sweetcheeks, do not pay a delivery charge if you can haggle it.
