If you went in a pub and someone offered you a drink, any sort, regardless of cost what would you have?

A pint of vodka!
A treble Jura. Neat.
Too many 'it depends'

If we didn't know them we would not have anything, you do not specify.

A prusecco would do me nicely, failing that a nice large glass of merlot.

If you didnt know them? Im simply saying if you could have your pick of all the drinks, regardless of price, what would you choose.

And I'm simply saying if we didn't know them we wouldn't have one, we are like that in The South East you know.
I read it like Baldric. A stranger offering to buy you a drink. I wouldn't accept one either.

It would depend on the time of day, who I'm with etc etc..
I'll join you in a glass of Merlot Georgiesmum - cheers!

I live in the South East too.You are missing the point. Forget anyone is offering you a drink , just say which drink you would choose if you could have anydrink, regardless of price.

Cheers Mamya! I should have just said "what is your favourite tipple?", it would have been a lot easier, never mind.
Tis a veritable minefield sometimes, have another glass ;-)
I don't drink alcohol anymore but if I did it would have to be a double dark rum with coke.
There's a pub I love in Pimlico, simply called 'Cask'. They've got some speciality beers that I've always wanted to try but the prices have always put me off.

Now that this extremely generous 'someone' has come along though, I think I might be tempted into drinking a (nice big 750ml) bottle of this American beer:

It's a bargain (when someone else is paying, of course!) at £69 per bottle ;-)

Or, in the same pub, I could enjoy a double whiskey (18yo Macallan), which would only cost the mysterious 'someone' £28. However if the whiskey was going to be a chaser to the American beer above, it would seem best to go for an American whiskey too, so perhaps I should choose a double William Larue Weller for £35.60?

I thought you were North of the Thames near Southend, East of England, South East is mainly South of the Thames.

Goodness Buen, that must be some beer.
I'll join Sibbs, she would say a bottle of Louis Roederer Crystal....thanks you. I would settle for a Charles Heidsieck though - and would prefer that.
I'd have a glass of Chardonnay with a soda spritzer...and a bag of peanuts, thank you.
Hi, Georgiesmum. Not hard to see why the banter is dying on here is it....... ;-)

A Guinness for me every time. ....... x
we started on the Guinness, Gness....it has that effect.
