Every living organism, we are told, has been created by God .

Are they all of equal value ?

Do they all qualify to go to heaven ?

// I can't work out if Sandy is deeply Christian, or taking the pee. //

Don't worry, none of us can - including Sandy.
Even if Jesus caught and ate fish he could still be a believer. No rule against sending the fishes on to their heavenly reward at lunchtime. But murdering the nuts just to make a cutlet, that's another story.
People love animals. They're going to be very dissapointed if they get to heaven and there's only humans there.
There ain't no God
and there ain't no heaven.
so don't you worry
if you throw a seven.

Do yo like the way I tied my answer in with National Poetry Day?
You ask if I just like it so

You've not quite got the hang of it Sandy.
First 6 words on the first line, the next 5 on the last line.
The Bible shows that the angels were created long before humans. Moreover, angels and humans differ greatly in their nature and their place in God's purpose. God created man “a little lower than angels,” so those spirit creatures are rightly considered superhuman, with greater mental capacities and power. (Hebrews 2:7) The “proper dwelling place” of angels is the heavens. (Jude 6) As to humans, God’s original purpose was for man to live forever on earth.

Nowhere in the Bible does it specifically state that humans will go to Heaven when they die.
Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10 says:-
For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
The Bible says a lot but doesn't actually "show" anything.

It is nothing more than the musings of ignorant, arrogant misogynists.

I take it that you find absolutely nothing of any value anywhere in the bible then.

The budding of a rose and the building of a spider's web are no less teleological than any human activity.
McMouse, "So?"
That's as elegant a summation of my thought that the Goodly Godless can find a place in Heaven as you're ever likely to see.
I believe that good works are enough to bring the most fervent unbeliever to a place at His table. Though it's likely to be below the salt.
Let me clarify that. ^
The poem, not your 'so?' is the elegant summation.
NaCl

I know my place.
If it was up to me I'd give that 'best answer'. ^
I like to keep an existentialist theist approach to religion - that pretty much covers all angles.
I laugh when I hear them make it plain,
that dogs and men never meet again.
With the soul in his shining eyes, so happy ...
Would God be wasting a dog like Chappie ???

A poem I read once and altered it to fit my feelings for Chappie who I had recently lost.
Well it must be mighty crowded up there. Hope I meet my dogs when I go and my cat.
