im sure he has plenty yeah
this post should be in people and places
Absolutely love my little bit of Wogan every morning and don't like it when he goes away on hols. Not that bothered when he's on tv but I'm at the right age now to appreciate him in the morning... :p x You?
A living Legend on a par with John Noakes and Sean Connery
he has huge ears and does he still have that strange blankety blank microphone?
"Ah, here at the volts of the BBC", ol' Auntie's Bloomers and Eurovision goodness...should be sainted...lol

his humour is second to non......... but the bit i like is when the bishop or religous person comes on to talk, it just blends in, there is no gap!!

i aint religous myself but i just love to hear them spin a yarn!!

Bit of a nob, but basically ok.
dot...How could you be so unfair to Sean Connery?
Nothing has changed - was just as good in the early 70s. Can't stand him on the telly though especially things like "Aunties Bloomers". Look forward to his holidays though as JW is much better.

Any friend of Ruge's ..... his ears are huge tho' Mr Sense and I noticed that only the other eve.

This was a decamp post from Rubys I didn't want her inbox to meltdown!

He should be shot....end of story

Compared to most of the tits on the TV right now I think he is ok.

My mum used to rave on about him in the early 80's and I had to suffer the Radio 2 breakfast show with Wogan..I couldn't see the humour at all but then I was a 'Young Ones' fan ;o)

Nowadays I find myself thinking he is entertaining. I must be getting old, eh?

I used to really dislike his mannered delivery - getting almost to 'Jimmy Young' level, and he talked like no-one else on the planet before or since!

Either I've got used to it, or I've 'tuned in' to his speech, because I do like his radio show a lot. He makes what is actually pretty difficult sound remarkably easy, and the interchange with his colleagues is really clever.

You don't get listening figures like that without appealing accross the board - although I still can't watch him on TV, his constant shuffling from one foot to the other, and that appalling wig!

His whittering on on a morning drives me mad but I have to listen to him cos my dad thinks he's hilarious!

Now Sarah Kennedy - she is funny

He is a leg end
He's great - I consider myself a TOG and I'm only 30. Love the underlings on his radio show - the Janet and John stories always make me laugh which is slightly embarrassing when you're listening to it on headphones on the train. Looking forward to Eurovision tomorrow - worth watching solely for his wisecracks. Best was when he descrived the Danish presenters a couple of years ago as the Little Mermaid and Dr Death!
a.k.a mr self-importance
Terry Wogan - TV legend and the best thing about Eurovision, especially his growing exasperation as Latvia and Lithuania, Greece and Cyprus, Sweden and Norway, and Croatia and Bosnia all swap maximum points again. Quite what he'll make of Finland's entry, I shudder to think :-)

Did anyone watch the semi-final and hear that Wogan wannabe, Paddy O'Connell (I think that was his name)? He'd obviously been listening to some of Tel's old commentaries and was trying to emulate him. He failed, dismally.
We watched Eurovision last year, and found him to be very rude, very arrogant, and sometimes downright nasty! He also sounded as though he'd had one or two glasses too many. Replace him immediately!!
