Is your shed still standing after your BBQ DEN ! I had visions of it burning down with your car inside it ! lol
Or at least wash the end of the first one up....(or in) ;-)

yep, it is fine Redman - Mr. Den wired it up for electricity - I now realise why now - on Sunday he had a tele in there watching the bloody football and there was me thinking he was making it easier for me to mow the lawn..... fat chance
i double no triple dare you to cook a spit roast.....
Question Author
They are going to sedate him Salla, so he won't know if they don't......
When i had an operation when I was 10, I couldn't eat from 6pm one evening and drink from about 9pm, untill I woke up, about 5pm the next day (it should have been sooner but someone came into a&e and the surgeon had to deal with them because they needed a specialist surgeon.) And what they did to me afterwards was just as unpleasant.
Good luck to him at the Hospital DEN, hope he gets his health issues sorted out soon.
Hope your mum is bearing up as well as it must be difficult for your Family coping with all the problems......x
Question Author
I hope so too Redman - I am at breaking point now, and really can't take much more stress.

He also has to take a laxative from 7 p.m tonight - so perhaps I will sleep in the shed aswell.....(:o(
Den - It was 10 years ago now that I went through what Mr Den is going through now & after all the tests they found Colon cancer, it was in the v/early stages and due to their being astute I was admitted nx day & had major surgery day after. Here I am all those years later fit as a fiddle (ish)We are soo lucky to be living in the 21st century they are soo clever these days. Try not to worry too much he is in very good hands.
What I'm saying is "something good nearly always comes from something bad."

My best wishes to you both.

Thanks Jem - glad you are fine now and taking in the lovely Southend sea air.

Mr. Den does'nt seem that bothered about it all, but I am worried sick but then I am the worrier of the family.

I'll let you know how we get on. Den xx
If he is taking Fleet before the procedure I can tell you that HE won't be getting any sleep tonight. It is very powerful stuff! Stand well back.
There is also comedy wind to cope with when he wakes up - but he'll be ever so relaxed. Best of luck to you both, and as I told my surgeon - if you find any gold, it's mine.

Thank you Tigerlelly and Mosaic for your good wishes - Mr. Den is in the loo as we speak..........................where is that Domestos
I feel his pain, I had a double whammy one too!

I have to say, the lack of eating pales to nothing when the laxatives kick in! I had a rhumatology bloods appointment booked the morning before one procedure (can't remember if it was the camera up and down or one of the others) and had to ring them and cancel due to the effects!

The nurses found it hilarious how much I had underestimated the effect, over the counter laxatives it aint haha :)

The procedure isn't so bad, bit uncomfortable but I have to say the the staff were brilliant and I could watch on the screen for the camera up (bit difficult for the other one with a camera shoved down your throat) which was a bit of a distraction.

If he has a poor gag reflex like I do, it might be wise to have him ask for a bowl near after the camera down, just in case, as I threw up a lot when I got out. I really do have a bad gag reflex though. The sedation might not have helped either.
When I had mine a few months ago, I found the worst part was having to drink all that fluid the night before, and the taste of it really puts me off ever having it done again. Yeuck. I didn`t know anything about what happened during the investigation, I was out of it. Luckily it turned out to be normal, but I`m now not so sure as I get the `wotsits` at least once a week now whereas before I had it done I was ok.

Thanks Jenna and Carlton - Mr. Den is finally out of the toilet and is now sleeping - has been drinking loads of fluids this evening. I bought extra toilet rolls today and bum wipes.
