My wife and eldest daughter and son-in-law attended the ABBA Voyage show in London on Sunday evening.

And who should we spot leaving from a few rows in front, with his wife and children - diminutive actor and quiz show host Warwick Davies.

Sadly plans to obtain a quick selfie for our Potter fanatic great-grandson we're thwarted by Mr Davies' rapid exit from the venue, on a segway!

Anyone who might not have noticed him otherwise could not have failed to do do, as he was the only person in the whole venue using that mode of transport to avoid any potential fan interaction.

I guess some people just like to go home on a Sunday night and sleep. I do it myself, though I have surprisingly few importunate fans to circumvent.

Which form of transport did his family use?

Barsel - Walking.

maybe because he has very short legs, he finds walking difficult, and a segway is better for him than a wheelchair?

The show was amazing. It's quite easy to suspend your disbelief and imagine that what you are looking at is real - aided by the presence of a very lively and talented live band on stage.

We didn't travel back that night, we stayed over.

Because of the appalling train service, we drove to Crewe, parked there, got the train down, and travelled back the following evening.
