Just wondering if anyone else is attempting this quiz? I think I have over 30 answers, which I am happy to share if anyone needs help. Stumped on the feather, big pink knickers, red kite, black tower, bbc microphone (thought The King's Speech but mic probably too modern), milk bottle, carrier bag, two stetsons.
Many thanks

I tohought that the large pink knickers might be Shallow Hal but on reflection Bridget Jones is probably more likely. Broadcast News might be an option for the mic but the ghostly face next to the glitter ball has me baffled.

Some with ? not sure of and still got 6 to find
Changing Black Hawk down to Apocalypse Now
Moon could be Apollo 13
Freddie sa Where do you see mona lisa there seems to be lots of choices for several clues so I suppose it's choosing the right ones
goodness knows how you choose between Mona Lisa and Da Vinci Code (let alone Mona Lisa Smile, which I guess is less well known).

daisydee, the ghostly face under the pier is a halloween pumpkin so it's probably Halloween.

That 22 is tiny, but I suppose Catch 22 must be right
Plastic Bag American Beauty White Feather Robert Wagner 1955 Pink Knickers Bridget Jones Diary Mike The King's Speech Milk for the bottle a film about Harry Milk? Two Stetsons may be Brokeback Mt. but one hat is black in the Film
JNO Thanks but I got Halloween. I was referring to the image to the left of the glitterball which looks like a face unless it's a figment of my imagination. My initial thought was The Matrix but clutching at straws on that one. The solo plane looks like a flying fortress and could be Memphis Belle rather than The Dambusters.
The red kite is tied to a section of the railing that is completely different to the rest of the railing...do you see?

I've been trying to work out what that might represent - they must be connected!?

Not convinced by Mary Poppins (the kite is green and they'd have chosen something different) or The Kite Runner (again, they'd probably have shown a runner and that kite isn't red either) or The Red Kite (way too obscure and RT specify 'well known').
Helicopters maybe M*A*S*H Thanks everyone for your ideas
You will find the mona lisa on the pier leg. It is shared by the F for facebook
Helicopters opening scene on trailer http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078788/
Hi, I have Bridget Jones Diary for the knickers, Kite Runner for the kite, Milk for the milk bottle, just started the quiz so not too far along, thought the feather might me the White Feathers?
First time for me too here! So didn't see the answers either, I have the Kite Runner for the red kite, I think the orange banners are Train Spotting, not sure how the blue light is related to that. The book with the fang is def Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Baby and Money is Million Dollar Baby
man in alcove is the elephant man," tightrope"
Hi everyone, thought the sum total of everyone’s answers has been amazing. Couldn’t have got the last few without you all.
Word of warning don’t start imagining answers. Image next to mirror globe?Look carefully its the girders! There is no one there. And the Halloween pumpkin is to the right not left as suggested you need 40 answers not 50!
Be logical like Mr Spock and focused but not using Superman’s X ray eyes.
There is a minut bird in the sky, Hitchcocks the Birds, I don’t think so.
The moon could well have been in the shot as the pic was being taken along with the clouds, you don’t imagine Reach for the Sky! Or First Man in the Moon surely? More like Moonraker!
If we go down that road you’ll be putting the Graduate for the marks on the wall. Shipping Forecast for the mic!
Perhaps even the bag just happened to blow across, we are dirty as a nation, or Gone with the Wind!
IF the moon is a co-incidence and the bag stays, there is a clue short.
The text said “Hint: 'The Beach' isn’t one of them” doesn’t mean that “On the Beach” isn’t an option, even “On the Waterfront.” The operative word is “The” v “the.”
For the record the plane is a Lanc I was at the RAF museum yesterday!!! And Memphis Belle was shown on TV last night. Sad an iconic image of the famous WW2 bomber wasn’t recognised instantly.
The ship isn’t Britannic as it always had a different livery, white when it sank as a hospital ship in WW1. The flag on the stern of the Titanic, the blue ensign was as a special privilege not a normal merchant navy flag, many officers in the RNR. Britannic flew the ICRC flag as to denote status, not that it saved it from a torpedo!
I am puzzled by the warrior on the plaque though. Braveheart? No kilt and wrong shaped shield. Similar for Spartacus, is that a poorly sculpted Roman shield? What is the plant in front of him, not a thistle surely?
Well done everyone.
Carlberg had a similar quiz a few years back with Brighton figuring along with St Albans. What’s the betting its from the same brain?
Cant wait till the next similar quiz.
We’ll all know on 3rd March who was correct!
