I quite enjoy browsing through a magazine and doing the crossword. But lately I am feeling the ones I have been reading for years are
getting a bit young for me. The clothes, make-up ec. Are too young. I have been reading Best and Bella for years and years. Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Well there's an obvious solution!

(No, that's not just a dig at your advancing years. I actually subscribe to The Oldie; it's an excellent read whatever your age).
I like Good Housekeeping but I only buy it now and again.
The only mag I buy is the Sainsburys magazine. When at work, I read Business Traveller and Hello although I wouldn`t buy them.
I had to give this one up, the crosswords were too tricky

Is that an on-line magazine Buenchico ?
A female friend of mine, of the same generation, likes 'Yours':

No Sainsburys here 237.
^^^ The Oldie is a proper paper magazine, available in W H Smith and most newsagents. (There is a digital version as well though: http://theoldie.subscribeonline.co.uk/digital-editions )

I think I have seen "Yours" here in the newsagents, but I don't know about the Oldies. I will have a look. Is it a weekly ?
The Oldie is published monthly but there's plenty of reading in it!

The owner of this website (www.toptenz.net) does not allow hotlinking to that resource (/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/girls-and-corpses.jpg).

I hardly buy any these days, too many quizzes - but do like Prima.

Good range of topics and often good craft ideas too.
I don't know, Baldric, your computer must have stricter morals than mine. Here's the website (DV)

Looks like fun.. .. .
Private Eye, I like to know the shock-horror stories that will be in the papers in the next couple of years. It has a fearsome crossword, I can do either all of it or none of it.
I don't any more. Like Samurasian, they are too young for me and there is a sense of deja-vu or irrevelance. I browse Tesco's mag. and things like that, in case there is a decent recipe, but that's all. I used to Burda and She 30 years ago.
I have on subscription, Yours Magazine, Good Food and Candis Magazine.
Have done for years.
The Times Literary Supplement - The Spectator - The Oldie
