Seeing that he has not been found guilty yet of the charges against him, I thought it unfair to comment on these.

What I would wish to comment on, is the fact that he entered and won the Mr Gay UK title.

Why as a serving police officer was he was allowed to enter such a contest, has to be questioned, especially when it was reported, he appeared in a police-style outfit, including a stab-proof vest.

He said "I thought telling people I was gay would mean no one would want to know me, but at the Mr Gay UK final I had more people supporting me than I’ve ever had in my life".

Er, could that be that all those at the Mr Gay final, were also gay?

/// Earlier he was reported to have said his main reason for entering the contest was to “change the public perception of the stereotypical gay man”.///

Now how did he expect their perception would change?

Fancy having a contest based on what one does in bed.

Is there a Miss Blojobber UK contest ?
I hope so JJ, I'm available to audition all the entrants.
LOL

How many could you "audition" in a day, Mousey ... ??

=0)
JJ......political correctness would mean they would have to have a Mr Blojobber contest too though

Yuk
I was coming to that JJ.
Mr Gay UK sort of covers that one, Joe !
Why, is it part of the Mr Gay UK contest JJ?

We never used to see any of that malarkey on Miss World!!!!
I guess you never went backstage, Joe !
"Real mens perception of the stereotypical gay man will never change

It's wrong and always will be, regardless of how much political correctness is forced upon us"

So you're not a 'real man' unless you think homosexuality is wrong?

How do you think that sounds to an outsider, joe?

"Surely he should have been disqualified?

Shame on the organisers for allowing an unqualified entrant!"

But... that's exactly what you were complaining about before.

Have to say, I had no idea a straight man had ever won Mr Gay UK, but why does it bother you? Obviously I don't know why, but perhaps he just thought it'd be fun? Why does that upset you so much?

As I said before, when was the last time you even thought about the Mr Gay UK contest before this thread?
I think of little else
^ "So you're not a 'real man' unless you think homosexuality is wrong?"

Yep
joeluke

'real men' don't need to qualify themselves.
Qualify for what?.......the Mr Gay UK contest???

Apropos of nothing I was reading that Dolly Parton entered a "Dolly Parton lookalike" competition held at a gay club and she didn't win.
Doc, he may have been charged............but let's wait to see if he's actually convicted.

Dangerous standpoint that, doc...............
I still maintain that those that call themselves 'Real Men' and express disgust about homosexuality are actually fearful of their own sexuality. They do protest too much! Most real men just get on with their lives and being a homosexual doesn't make you any less of a man. I would think that gay men in the military, police or other jobs which involve danger, guts and stamina wouldn't think very highly of being accused of not being a 'Real Man'.
This topic does not come across very gay.
