Yes, but that was yesterday's rant and I thought it would disappear!
I didn't know until last night the extent of the banquet. I though it would be gourmet stuff, but not 8 courses, it really does send out the wrong message.

Your indignation is off target. Forget the banquet that's just a symbolic faux-pas.
The cost of the security operation was 180 million Euros.
