Should we be concerned?

Anyone who believes that there isn't a steady Islamisation of Britain, should read this.

Usual Daily Mail illiterate rant. What exactly does the headline mean?

"This country to so pro-Muslim it is giving succour to the extremists who would destroy us"

Should we be concerned about a columnist who thinks creationism should be taught in schools and that evolution is a flawed theory?

A columnist who despite scientific consensus to the contrary, does not believe in the MMR vaccine

AOG - maybe you can tell me what laws have been introduced specifically to help Muslims.

After all, if this country is to become Islamified, surely there must be some laws which are Islamic which everyone must follow?

some people wont be happy until we are not woken by the sound of church bells on a sunday morning but to the sound of the head muslim shrieking and wailing calling everyone to the local mosques..........................................

Interesting how she neglects to mention that as a Jew, she condones the practice of male mutilation, the fact that women cannot testify in Beth Din courts or that a Jewish woman cannot have sex with her husband for 7 days after her period has finished.

Of course, that is down to some Jewish customs (mainly Orthodox), but since she sweeping tars ALL Muslims with the same brush, why not all Jews?

I know that there is not a steady iIslamification of Britain. I do not see it and I do not hear it (Cue "you've got your head in the sand Gromit", retorts).

Is this the same Melanie Phillips who believes ex-President Jimmy Carter is "the kept creature of the Arab world" and that "he is intent on smoothing the path to Israel's destruction?

The article is just plain barmy. Mad extreme Jew.

True, and some people won't be happy until ALL religion is made illegal in this country.

And some people won't be happy until drugs are legalised.

It's one of the privileges of living in a free country.

There's nothing wrong with Melanie Philips, and the arrogance of the posts above is breathtaking.
What can you say that unfactual about the article or her book "Londonistan?"

How many people have died at the hands of Jews in this country?
Don't compare Jews to these jihadist scum.

actually, Theland, there's a long history of Jews being accused of murder, human sacrifice etc in this country, plus a fair number of pogroms against them (nothing on the scale of the Holocaust, but same principle). All as nonsensical as the claims about the 'steady Islamisation of Britain', especially when they come from Mad Mel.

The answer to AOG's qustion is No.

I assume you are referring to me on this matter.

Can you tell me what I have said about her that is not true?

Something that's just occurred to me...

Can anyone name a country which has been successfully transformed from a Christian/secular society into a Muslim one?

That seems to be the crux of the argument here...that Britain will become an Islamic state...well is there a genuine fear that this could happen?

What's true about Melanie Philips is that she is shouting a warning, and after 7/7 and Glasgow airport, and other lesser outrages, or the failed plot to bomb planes in mid flight, then the warning is needed.
Now, who the bloody hell would she be warning us against?
The Chinese?

Oh, so she is warning us that attacks have taken place in this country by extremists.

That's lucky as I missed all of that.

Now, who the bloody hell would she be warning us against?

May be she could warn us about men - after all there are thousands of rapes in the country.

May be she can warn us about cars - after all, more people are killed by cars than by terrorist.

May be she can warn us about global warning - on no, I forgot, she doesn't believe in that.

The most dangerous extremists in this country write for the Daily Mail.

They are constantly trying to undermine this countries proud history of Liberal democracy by whipping up the gullible.

It seems a lot more effective than bombs.

Maybe Al Qaeda should launch a paper and write mindless tosh about Islamic Family values and how they'd restore the death penalty.

OK vic she's biased. Can you answer the bits in that article about the police being infiltrated by extremeists? I don't think she made that up. what about this bit:
"In February, Christian evangelists Arthur Cunningham and Joseph Abraham were handing out Bible extracts in Alum Rock, Birmingham. They were stopped by a Muslim Police Community Support Officer, threatened with arrest if they carried on preaching in 'a Muslim area', and warned that they might get beaten up if they came back."

that was reported separately and if I remember correctly, at the time, poo pood by you and your fellow islamaphiles.

She may paint an alarming picture but are you saying there is no truth in it? Is there not an under current of creeping Islamisation? It does seem a teensy weensy bit as though there is.

That is correct, RiGeezer, and if you remember those CSOs weren't acting on the orders of the force and were dealt with. They were inexperienced and handled it all very badly - it certainly was not the officical stance of the police force.

The police authority apologised to the evangelists, who incidentally were hell bent on claiming compensation.

It is very easy to tell half a story to make a point.
