Or an incompetent quickfit tyre fitter?
Worrying and all very odd. Not a subject for humour.
Oh I don't know. As with so much in politics today, it's just nuts.
wheel nuts?
Police are seeking 24,365,255 suspects…
OMG OMG OMG! Oh, the Daily Mail ...false alarm.
If it's factual, I'd suspect some European rather than UK baddies.

Farage speaks a lot of sense about the corrupt and hidebound EU farce, and the people with their noses in the trough might like to silence him, do you think?
Yes, I agree.......not much humor here.

Don't really understand this bit though :::

"The crash, which took place in daylight at the end of October, has been kept under wraps by Mr Farage until now. He agreed to talk about it this weekend after being contacted by this newspaper" ie the DM.

Seems a bit odd to me.
Yes how did the Wail know about it if he'd kept it under wraps?

//French police officers who examined his Volvo V70 told him they believed the nuts on ALL FOUR wheels had been deliberately tampered with, indicating nothing less than an assassination bid.//
//how did the Wail know //

are you suggesting they made it up?
The Daily Star don't seem to know the difference between a V70 and a V40. Still, when have newspapers worried about accuracy?
All four road wheel nuts loosened!! That is not incompetence.
Strange that Mr Farage is quickly the subject of ridicule at the drop of a hat yet he certainly gives cause to some, obviously,by what he says and knows.
I am still not sure why Farage has taken all this time to tell us.

If it was a serious attempt on his life, then I can't work out why he has been so coy about discussing it.

"Coy" and "Farage" are not often seen in a sentence together after all.
The article says Farage told no one about it and yet the Mail seemed to know.
Given how quick Farage is to jump on the publicity wagon it seems odd that this story has come out only now. I am not say goodbye it is untrue, but it is odd
Could be for a number of reasons.
May be he kept it quiet from his wife so as not to worry her.
May be it is being investigated by other sources and it was kept quiet for obvious reasons.
A loose nut behind the wheel. You couldn't write this stuff!
Mr. Farage can't have been very alert as loose wheels rattle quite a lot long before they fall off.
Well some might not like his politics but would you want him dead for his views?

///how did the Wail know about it ///

French Plod fancies a bit of extra cash in his pocket. rings the Mail and negotiates a payment.
