It's about time this thread was pulled.
TWR - //It's about time this thread was pulled.//

I don't agree.

Threads do meander, and some do meander off course, such is the way of internet debate, but unless they are getting seriously out of hand - and I don't believe this one is - they should be left to die a natural death, as they all do, and then we move on.
If this thread was a bus I'd have got off ten stops ago.
That's a shame Mamya - you'd have missed some of the most exciting scenery!

Why should it be pulled?

Best to just remove the posts that criticise a certain person.

Good job I have kept a copy, for future reference.

Best to keep your posts on message, and not breaking Site Rules - then they will stay on your thread.

Quite why you have 'kept a copy for future reference', I have no idea!
It shouldn't be pulled , it stands as testimony to how things descend from discussing the case in question into more personal digs and challenges.

Glad they got the girls and hope the lady recovers well from the incident.
If the girls had not paid, that was a matter between them and the driver.

What business was it of the little old lady?

That does, in principle, seem a fair point.

But a large number of members of the 'older generation' have a very highly developed sense of right and wrong, and feel unable to sit back and say nothing when they can see a crime being committed.

In parallel with that point is the fact that making a protest should never put you on the receiving end of physical violence.
A lot of people, myself included feel a sense of moral duty.

I have been known to return litter to someone they have dropped for example - guess a bop on the nose was the least I could expect.

Fortunately I didn't get one.

I thought that you offered me the last word, you just can't help yourself can you?

You should be addressing that to sp1814, who started it all off in the first place, quickly followed by yourself.

The bus wouldn't move till they paid and the old duck wanted to get home.(I believe)

Since moderation rules apply equally to everyone on the AB - despite what you may think to the contrary - if sp or I launch a post of personal vitriol and insults, both he and I would quite rightly run the risk of having our posts pulled, and would have no comeback if they were.

Thus far, it would appear that the moderators on line today have not judged sp's or my posts to be in contravention of Site Rules - but that does not mean we are ever immune.

I have had posts removed in the past - I have adjusted my approach, and have not had one removed for some considerable time.

Perhaps you would like to return to the thread - as Gromit has done - and sideline the personal attacks which will probably be dealt with appropriately.
"Well let me inform you two, I make no excuses for using such descriptions, against these two savages as their crime is miles away from a petty altercation between a drunken crowd and an adult male, which had he been white would not have even been reported on."
If he had been white, it wouldn't have happened!
Succinctly put Sipowicz!!
A 14 year old does not have to pay to travel on London buses, they travel for free. So there was no fare avoidance, crime or anything to argue about.

If the old lady was arguing they must pay, she was wrong.

Can one believe these two pieces of scum, these savages, are getting such support from some on this site? Blaming a law abiding 87year old lady for poking here nose in matters, that didn't concern her.

Her only reward was a blooded nose, seems the same wasn't levelled against the grandma with her handbag who took on a whole gang of jewellery thieves.

Now what could be the factor that separated these two incidences?
