I may be being a bit cynical but doesn't everybody? :-)
We all learn from the experiences life has thrown at us, which does tend to get rid of any earlier naivety.
Yes I think I am very cynical. But it may just be life experience that also makes you that way.
I am far more clued up and less reckless than in my youth - Cynical? not sure, possibly a little.
I've become more cynical over posts in 'Relationships and Dating.'
I do, all about life's experiences and how predictable so many things are. Curiously, people are often said to 'mellow' with age!
Couldn't have put it better myself, boxtops. I am certainly older, if not actually old. Experience of life is a factor in becoming cynical.
When younger I took things at face value but question a lot more now. I do think I'm more laid back though..... life's too short to worry about things you'll never change.

Depends on the situation. We are open hearted to genuine folk and hard as nails with people trying to con us (like the guy who tried to sell a new drive today at 50% off (what????).

As you get older its natural that you learn to spot the bad guys but cynicism as a way of life- never!
My first reaction is always to accept people at face-value (politicians excepted), but I have learned to be cautious as to how far I trust them and admit them into my confidence. It is, sadly, experience and realising that I was open, others weren't.
no, I'm the sweet little I've always been :) x
Sweet little what, Anne??
Cynical or bitter? Either way, yes absolutely.
ooft...............' girl ' :)
Maybe I've been lucky, learned a few hard lessons in late teens early twenties so I've been wary but have often been surprised by lovely people
I was born cynical and during the course of my life have developed it to a fine art.

I always take things with a pinch of Salt, trust like most things worthwhile
has to be earned!
I don't think I have got more cynical. When you have learned more, you tend to know how things will turn out when its not going to be good. But that's knowledge, not cynicism.
Yes it is knowledge and experience. It's the young who call it cynicism...
